Program Set for Fuel Cell Early Markets 2007: Policy,
Finance, & Applications

Fuel Cell Early Markets 2007 has been designed to bring the worlds of
economics, science, policy, and finance together with manufacturers and
early users of fuel cell technologies. The conference will kick off on 11
June with a three-hour preconference seminar on ‘The Role of Hydrogen and
Fuel Cells in Future Energy Markets’. Led by Dr. Rupert Gammon of Bryte
Energy Ltd and Loughborough University and Dr Christopher Hebling of the
Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, this seminar will address
the importance of fuel cells and hydrogen in any sustainable energy strategy
and will provide an overview of emerging markets for these technologies.
Following the preconference seminar, seventeen distinguished speakers
will discuss and debate fuel cell related policies in Europe and around the
world, ideas on future political developments, the interest of the financial
community in the fuel cell industry, the current operation of fuel cell
technology in stationary and transport applications, and early user
experiences. Among those offering strategic insights at Fuel Cell Early
Markets 2007 are:
- Tom Barrett, Director, European Investment Bank… who will discuss financing for the hydrogen and fuel cell sector.
- Michael Bode, President & CEO, CFC Solutions GmbH… who will look at the early market application of large scale fuel cell systems.
- Marinus van Driel, Managing Director, HyGear BV… who will examine early market applications in onsite hydrogen supply.

- Phil Doran – Partner and Co-Founder of Core Technology Ventures, founding member of Fuel Cell Europe, member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals, member of the EU Finance & Business Development Panel, and former Global Head of Fuel Cell Research at UBS Warburg in Frankfurt.
